What would you do if you caught your husband and house maid at it?

Yes, if you found out that your husband or boyfriend (husband to be) has been sleeping with your housemaid. Just what would you do?

There is one thing that most women that plan to relocate fail to take into serious consideration, the housemaid palaver.

Apart from the location of residence, will it be Abuja, Kano or Port Harcourt? Lagos, by the way, is not the only commercially viable place to relocate to in Nigeria. So you must settle on this.

Let us assume you have sorted that out, I mean the area of residence.

That takes us to another issue – Schools.

If you have children, you must seriously consider the type of schools you would want your children to attend. How expensive a school is does not necessary equate to how high the standard of education is. It is important to determine your expectations and I must stress, ensure you thoroughly inspect the school before hand.

Another tick in the box on the “must do list”. So the issue of school is now taken care of.

What else?

I expect long before anything, you must have already sorted out the issues of income, be it a 9-5 employment – by the way, in reality, there is no such thing. You wake up long before you hit the road to avoid the dreadful daily traffic, and in many cases, work late, long beyond the 4 or 5pm mark. I bet that will not be new. Your income could come from business. Just have it sorted, I plead with you. Do not come because of a friend or a friend of a friend is in a position to help. It will not only tantamount to a gamble. I will simply say it is foolish.

You have already settled on your car and a driver? I am assuming here, as this is also key.

What about the area of Housemaids?

This is a very important area. It is so important that it could either accelerate or decelerate your settling in period.

If you are lucky to get a reasonable housemaid, Jackpot! If not, don’t give up. Ensure you get the right one.

So you happen to hit the jackpot, the housemaid has settled down to her daily chores. You are busy doing your thing. Your hubby is busy doing his. The children are taken care of, but, you the wife, have so much on your plate as you delegate everything to your wife.

Then, a bomb shell.

You discovered your hard working husband has also been very busy with your housemaid.

This is my question, what exactly would you do?

Just in case, your mind has began to wonder, this post was inspired by a story I read in the Vanguard Online Newspaper with the caption – “If you caught your husband and maid in the act, what will you do?.”

Let me make it clear, this is not a personal story o.

So ladies, I know some of you are already boiling. You are already heated up. Why not tell me, what exactly you would do? Or is it a case of NEVER, it can’t happen to me.
