1. Do not be a permanent Cup Bearer.
It’s time to think outside the box. Seriously think of owing your business. Nehemiah might been born into slavery, but he never thought it was his destiny. Your background is not the ultimate, your future is. It’s time to mind your business.
2. Nothing great happened to a man without prayers.
Nehemiah had sets of prayers.
Prayer of COMMITMENT – what is it you have chosen to be known for serving God. After all David was a man after God’s heart. There was also prayer against his ENEMIES whom you must agree exist. There are some enemies that have no reasons to be, however are with a passion. Prayer of REMEMBRANCE (catalogue what God has done in your life that you need to be grateful for). Finally, prayer for God’s FAVOUR is a must ask. When you have God’s favour, there is absolutely nothing any man can do.
3.We have been assigned destinies.
We all have destinies we came to mother earth with, however, accompanies our destiny is a price to pay. The question therefore is, are you, like Nehemiah willingly to pay the price? Oh yes, there is a price to pay for success.
4. Be dissatisfied with where you are.
That I need to be ambitious and be dissatisfied with where I am, that is of course I am not living in the falsehood that I have arrived.
5. Picture the future.
I must, like Nehemiah see the picture of my future. Think about this, the blind man got Jesus attention, but Jesus still went on to ask what he wanted done from him. it wasn’t as if Jesus didn’t know what he wanted. He expected the blind man to ask, as he had pictured his future, after all, he was known for always asking for alms.
6. Make demands on God.
This is a no brainer. Just ask your father in heaven in the believe that he will answer you.
7. Have conversations with God.
When you truly get to the point where you know your father in heaven answers prayers 24/7, you would have daily conversations with him, like you do with your family. You would put him first before you take any decision. So engage God and don’t assume because he knows you should not speak up.
