Dana products ought to be, will be and should be Dana-ed (“to die an unnatural and untimely death”). It is my duty to bring to the attention of citizens of Nigeria, friends of Nigeria and the rest of the world that if the simplest of rules can not be implemented in a democracy such as Nigeria due to the highest rated category of corruption in operation, then concerned citizens such as myself and yourself should take a bold step to act against all DANA products.
I hereby bring to your attention the Dana brands and names of companies associated and entrusted with DANA (“death”). Life must not continue like it was before the crash. A very strong message must be sent to companies, persons, organisations, etc that Nigerians can take action without Government. We can demonstrate with our buying power. As you read this, please help spread the message, it’s the very least you can do that boycott AquaDana, Dana rice and everything DANA.

It is my call this moment to encourage you to pass on this message that all Dana products should no longer be patronised. All DANA products should die an untimely death as anything Dana is now associated with “death”.

So Dana milk, AquaDana (bottled water), Dana rice and all other popular Dana products should be boycotted with immediate effect.

When corruption is revealed or associated with an ambassador of a company or brand, the immediate reaction is for the company to either suspend or withdraw its name and association with the ‘soiled’ ambassador. Why must it be different in Nigeria? Why?

Therefore I call on all companies associated with Dana as listed below to take a stand now. Are you standing by DANA which now stands for “DEATH” or you announce immediately your disassociation from DANA GROUP? The choice is yours.

Everything goes in this country. As an ordinary citizen, I will play my part, and I hereby call on friends of Nigeria world wide to make this an issue in order to make Nigeria a sane nation to live.

Ban all Dana products from your home. We must pass on a strong message that companies can’t get away with anything in Nigeria. In a few days time, it will be a week since the accident. Many have resumed normal life, but I haven’t because whenever I think of my dear friend Usman Thompson, I remember his close knit family members and what they must be going through since the untimely passing on of their daughter, sister, wife and mother. I remember Usman’s Mum who has lost a daughter HADIZA OTEGBEYE.
President Goodluck’s 3 days of National mourning has expired, but Hadiza’s Mum’s days of mourning hasn’t.
As I write, the sadness of Hadiza Otegbeye’s family has further increased because as at this evening, HADIZA’S body is yet to be found.
Everyday, you discover you know of someone who indirectly or directly knew someone on the ill fated Dana plane crash, and life is expected to be the same? Suddenly, Nigeria is intertwined by sorrow. How on earth is HADIZA’s Mum expected to feel? And Hadiza’s husband, with children to care for? And family members? And what was the paltry amount awarded for lost lives again?
This is not an act of revenge, but an act to awaken the slumber of ordinary Nigerians to the fact that we have a say, a collective voice to make conditions in this country reasonably habitable. You never know who is next. We simply don’t know. Once again I pray for the departed, may their souls rest in perfect peace.

thanks sir for this. but i so feel angered by nigerians who because of their jobs are playing down the crash. can u imagine the abuja station manager coming on air (TV continental) today June 14 and claiming that the plane was intact and that everything was ok when the plane took off. i was really milified. i wished i was in that room to make nonsense of his claim. he even said gov. akpabio did not call them (when a report said he wrote to them). that guy must be a jerk for bringing dishonour to the memory of the victims of that crash through his claims. God rest aunty Hadiza’s and other souls. whe was an inlaw.
Ever since that plane crash, I have subconsciously detested seeing, how much more patronise anything with the DANA brand.
These poeple are repulsive, and the Nigerian coniving-government-officials stink!
I have never knowingly bought anything Dana and even before the plane crash I was always dubious of Dana after I heard a story a few years ago of them force fitting a major car part in a brand new car and tried to claim it was the correct part with their Indian workshop managers giving the go ahead.
Quite frankly if I come across as nationalistic then so be it. It is about time Nigerians take a more patriotic and nationalistic attitude to life. The Govt and Aviation Authorities have a lot to answer for and I also think the Dana Management have acted in an appalling way ever since this air crash. If this is to be the demise of the group so be it. It is a price evil and greedy Indian business men should pay and serve as a lesson to other ruthless Nigerian and foreign business men who for so long have acted with impunity.
You can make money without endangering lives,after all why will any sane human being not want to protect the main aspect of the business. The stories about the ill fated plane just keep rolling in.
