Blessing Okagbare disappoints as she comes last in 100m Women’s Final
It has been captured as the greatest Night in British Athletics history. They have won events where no one gave them hope – Long Jump and 10,000 m event.
UK is buzzing with the delight. personally I believe its a pat on the back from God to the Brits for all the good work invested over the past 7 years.
You get out what you put in. As for Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare whom we had invested so much hope in, she summed up the mood in Nigeria with an expected very slow start which caused her dearly.
Blessing is an obvious potential, the same reference Nigeria still enjoys after 51 years of independence, however, she just faltered when it mattered the most.
I hope President Goodluck Jonathan has finished dancing the ‘AZONTO’ dance in Jamaica.

I was really disappointed with Blessing. She has potential but not sure if she got stage fright!!! Ofcourse I can only imagine it is not easy and all the hard work she put in to get to the final. I hope we see more of her because just like our young world beating footballers they soon disappear. I was hoping she could have got at least a bronze.
