About me

O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. All I want to do is to inspire, to encourage and to motivate you to bring out the best in you. That’s all.
My name is Jide Salu and I AM a vessel of good will, by the Grace of God.

I know that the followers of my site would find your articles helpful like I did. I run a small store, Hieyeglasses.com. It’s not as good as what you have done with your blog, but I’m very proud of it. Before I forget is there by any chance you can link my site too?

Irealy appreciate your comments about celebrating people while they are still alive. I guess that worm as eating so deep into us (Nigerians) that all we care about is celebrating the dead, giving them posthumous award, and doing all kinds of things when people pass on. I agree with you that this must change, let us begin to value people when they are alive not for what you want to get from them but for what they realy are.

    I
God spoke to Moses in Deut. 2:1-3 ‘ye have compassed this mountain long enough turn you northward’ We are so encumberred and consumed with the fear of tomorrow and which have so blinded are eyes that we cannot see the opportunities lying ahead of us. We dont want to fail that is why we are ‘contend” with where we are. please we need to leave our comfort zone like you said, face the future. If you didnt leave your comfort zone and take that bold step you will not be in this country by now.God Bless you

    Towella,

Hi, I am so so sorry for this late reply.

To answer your question, of course Towella, there are loads and I mean loads of foreign wives.

Being african, you would not even notice the difference. You will be surprised at the number of “Kaunda” wives that are resident in Nigeria.

The more, the merrier. Ensure you begin to learn how to cook local dishes, this will help and if you can not now, then you will soon find your self making friends with other Nigerian ladies and you will catch on.

I promise you, nothing to fear. If there can be Zambians in the UK, why wouldn’t there be in Nigeria.

Thanks for stopping by and keep in touch.

God bless and regards to your hubby…tell him “about time too”

My husband and I are thinking of relocating to Nigeria – well he is anyway because he is Nigerian. i am from Zambia on the other hand. Can you tell me are there other ‘foreign’ wives over there …I am excited about the move but I am now getting butterflies in my tummy as I have never been there and the only experience of a typical Nigerian has been at church, in Peckham and Thamesmead….:)
